The International Space Station (ISS) is able to communicate with licensed radio amateurs on Earth on the radio frequency 145.800 MHz. If you are not licensed, no problem, you can still listen using a suitable radio receiver.
This section will show how you can listen to the ISS using a suitable radio receiver; plus if you are a licensed radio amateur, how to make voice contact and send/receive APRS data transmissions.
You can receive voice communication of astronauts on the ISS with radio amateurs on 145.800 MHz, when they pass nearby and are actively talking - without a license to listen! See the video!
